Fat Talk



Self hating is something that our culture accepts. We are told that modesty is best, that compliments are untrue. Concious efforts to end this must be made. I know I get caught in loops in my own thinking; what I say, especially around kids, is more careful.

Musically Educated

I listen to good music, but I am so unawate of simple things. The artist's names, song titles, number of albums, where each band fits on a musical time like; these things are all unknown to me. To pursue this education I have to decided to go to Pitchfork Media University.


This video had me smiling up until the last second. I was left shocked.

I know you've had days when a good hair day is just effortless, and the weather is perfect to boot. That feeling you get is the same as the Friday-full-tank-of gas-beautiful-day feeling. Sheer, ridiculous freedom. Aren't we gals so silly?

Last Night's Dinner

Ryan and I consumed junk for dinner a few nights ago. The following day, not only was I starving, but I could not get enough healthy food into my mouth. Is there a moral to the story? Yes. Eat a semi-real dinner (include something green), even if its little.

Sunscreen Ala Mode

Awhile back I was talking about the toxicity levels of cosmetics, and products I use. I emptied my makeup bag and showed some products I use daily. Since then I used up all my facial moisturizer/sunscreen, and was in need of a replacement. My old moisturizer was at a level 4, not too bad, but less toxic the better..right? I chose this CVS brand sunscreen which has a toxicity level of 2.
