Let Me Show You Around

Here are a few glimpse of our living room.
Frames
Ryan had enough with the empty frames we had decorating our shelves, and took them down.
Found Photos on Display
Last summer Ryan and I went to an estate sale. Ryan got a box containing a Polaroid camera. These photos were also in the box. Aren't they a lucky find? We strung them up over the weekend.
Birthday Bell Jars
Here are a few birthday gifts. I love this photo with the cute clay bird peeking in.

Your Scent Means More in Memory (Part 2)

I find myself giving taking a deep breath in and holding when I give hugs. I always inhale a little bit of a persons scent. Lately, I've been catching whiffs of perfume dance around me that remind me of my Grandma.
It smells a lot like:

Reasons I'm A Bad Blogger

  • I work 3 jobs. I average about 40ish hours a week, however there is no rhyme or reason to my schedual. Working till 4AM isn't an abnormal thing for me, yet the guilt of sleeping past noon always seeps in somehow.
  • I'm doing lots of doing. A quilt is in the works; a gallery application has a deadline; a special surprise is being made; many job applications, and cover letters are being sent; lost of schmoozing at job fairs by yours truly.
  • Excluding today, the weather has been lovely. I want to play outside; I don't want to be in front of a screen.

Thats all, and I'm sorry. I'll try to be a better blogger.

Recent Reading

Although I would probably never recommend this book, Alone! Alone! Lives of Some Outsider Women, I did find some quotes to be magnificent.

"Those ghastly days, when I was by myself in the little house in Mt. Vernon Street, how I longed to flee in to the firemen next door and escape from the "Along, Alone!" that echoed through the house, rustled down the staris, whispered from the walls and confronted me, like a material presence, and I sat writing, counting the moments s they turned themselves from today into tomorrow."

"it is no fun being an oddity for it makes one eternally lonely."

I have renewed this book countless times to share these quotes with you. Now the next person who reads this book will just have to look for the dog-ears, and won't have to suffer through the blah of the rest of the book.
