Lackluster
I haven't been up to much lately, well anything of substance. I go to work; I do my job and that's about it. I feel unmotivated to do anything I planned over the last few months. Below is a photograph of a list I made on a plane in February.

-Made 1 painting, when the goal was 2.
-I finished my mittens, but never touched my sewing machine, or any other craft.
-I've only had a handful of proper meals over the last month, and when I did make/have them I was only thinking of the nourishment and hunger of others.
-As for conversations, they have been few and far between.

Art
"Great Art comes from great bike rides."=My favorite part of this adorible song and video.
I have a job interview in a few hours. Wish me well! (I was going to say luck, but that's not something I believe in.)

Hug
Jenny, a dear friend and mother of 4 amazing children that I love like nieces and nephews, once told me that hugs were crucial for a happy, stimulating, and rewarding life. I wholeheartedly believe this. I did a little digging, and believe Jenny's belief stems from this quote:
"We need 4 hugs a day for survival. We need 8 hugs a day for maintenance. We need 12 hugs a day for growth."
--Virginia Satir

Freedom Machine
Bike riding in the city is one of the most freest experiences I've ever lived. The sticky, rough sound of tires on pavement is to me what "om" is to meditation. There is something so tranquil- that lends itself to contemplative thinking. I am so proud of myself for riding to work through these winter months, and only bussing it when the conditions were too unsafe.

Another Tuesday Night Dinner
No photos till after the fact. I was a cooking machine today. I started at 1:30 and didn't finish until 8:30. It turned out great and everyone loved it. Tonight's menu included:
Indian Spiced Carrot Soup with Ginger-made with homemade vegetable stock
Veggie Curry on a bed of Coconut Rice with Garlic and Raisin Naan
To finish Amelia brought over crystallized yogurt with bananas, chopped nuts, and honey.
Delectable! Before we knew it this is all that was left:
