Yesterday one of my students, "Baby Girl", asked me to bring in lunch for him. This student is so helpful in one of my largest, and craziest classes. I really appreciate everything he does, and knew this would show that appreciation. I packed him a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, granola bar, and two mini twixes. It was a hit! He raved about it all lunch period, and was a complete gem in class.
I know food is not the best reward to give students, but in the culture of the school is the biggest way to show love and appreciation. Plus, when kids have full bellies full of good food they can actually learn. Imagine that!
