Last night I went to Eastern State Penitentiary here in Philly to experience Terror Behind the Walls haunted house. For those of you who know me you're prably thing this was the most stupid outing ever for lil' old me. I am the biggest freakin' chicken. Horror movies make my heart rate jump through the roof, and I even had to bail out when I went to a haunted house as a teenager!
Well, I worked up the courage to go and it was actually really fun! I screamed so much that my voice was scratchy. So scratchy that I had to have a delicious pumpkin pie beverage at Jack's Firehouse across the street!
I should really try more things out of my comfort zone, I might end up having a good time!

Where Have You Been?
For those of you who don't know much about the face painting business, October is a pretty busy month. Not only is it the tail end of the Mitzfa season, but it is that time of year when people are more likely to get their faces painted.
There are 20 teaching days in October! Yikes! Gulp!
I am writing a grant for my school due soon, November 25th.
Anyway, I have been working non-stop. I'm not really sure how I'm still truckin' along. Restful activites have not been a part of my life for this month. Bed time has been pushed back from 9 to 11, and I fall right asleep. Some how I was able to start a new watercolor, and snap some pictures of my studio.

Eating Animals
Tonight Ryan and I went to hear Jonathan Safran Foer talk about his new book, Eating Animals. The audience was large, overflowing into an alternate room where the presentation was projected in real time.
Both Ryan and I thought the speech was well done. We are aware of the ugliness that is factory farming. It is repulsive how animals are treated in these farms. The refreshing part was how it is presented by Foer. The approach was non-confrontational, and more informative, and conversational. Find out how your food is made- think about what you put in your mouth.

Almost Fall
Its almost Fall here in Pennsylvania. I can especially feel it today. The boyfriend and I are at his mom's house in the Poconos. Woolen tights are about to be pulled, and drinking tea will soon be a necessity.
