Let Me Show You Around

Here are a few glimpse of our living room.
Frames
Ryan had enough with the empty frames we had decorating our shelves, and took them down.
Found Photos on Display
Last summer Ryan and I went to an estate sale. Ryan got a box containing a Polaroid camera. These photos were also in the box. Aren't they a lucky find? We strung them up over the weekend.
Birthday Bell Jars
Here are a few birthday gifts. I love this photo with the cute clay bird peeking in.

Your Scent Means More in Memory (Part 2)

I find myself giving taking a deep breath in and holding when I give hugs. I always inhale a little bit of a persons scent. Lately, I've been catching whiffs of perfume dance around me that remind me of my Grandma.
It smells a lot like:

December

While creatures in the wild crawl into their homes for a long winters nap, crafters speed up production with a list almost a long as St. Nicks. Oh my!

Here's some pretty Pyrex I spied from my moms collection over the Thanksgiving Holiday.

Recap: Summer Thrifting

Over the summer I fed my thrifting habit often, and it was completely justified since I was moving. I scoured thrift shops, salvation armies, and estate sales with a tremendous amount of success. Without further ado, I introduce my much loved thrifted pieces!

A vintage Pyrex (swoon) bowl is great for mixing dry ingredients for quick breads and cookies. I picked this baby up at an estate sale in the greater Wilkes-Barre area.

Serving bowls from the same estate sale.

The retro cooler on the left was spotted atop a box marked free on the side of a country road- sweet. The cooler on the right was Ryan's grandpas. They are now sitting above our cabinits keeping our place looking cool. (I know- bad cooler joke.)

This sweet little Pyrex was found in a Center City Good Will.

The town where I grew up, Hawley, former claim to fame was the coal industry and factories. The coal passed through town on route to New York City, and many wealthy coal tycoons made Hawley their country home. Their homes still decorate Hudson Street, and one in particular has held a special place in my heart. Over the summer that gorgeous house has a yard sale. I snagged this funky vintage rag rug.

Two pretty milk glass ash trays for a dirty little habbit.

Agnes

Agnes is quite the spacial lady around these parts- shes my bike.
Bike riding is a necessity for me since we don't have a car in the city, so naturally I was a little shaken when I found out her spinning chain whorlymbobber (its a technical term...really) was out of whack. You see, there was a bit of a spill that resulted in a brused bottom, torn dress, and a big embarrased red face. I was not riding Agnes; I'm a big klutz and fell while standing next to my bike on the sidewalk. Anyway, having a bike with a catching chain could be pretty dangerious. Thank goodness for Via Bicycle. The rough and tumble bike gurus fixed her up in no time at all. Now you can see me riding around Philladelphia with a big smile on a sassy bike I call Agnes.
