Sweater?

Once I tried to make a sweater, but I messed/gave up and it turned into a chunky cowl. I have been thinking of knitting something lately. Do you think he sweater below would be too challenging? Maybe I should stick to flat stuff, like throw blankets and scarfs...

My first attempt at a sweater was a failure. I started t in August knowing it would take me a long, long time to finish it. I stopped mid October because the arms were way too big around. Its been hanging out half unraveled ever since.

Reasons I'm A Bad Blogger

• I work 3 jobs. I average about 40ish hours a week, however there is no rhyme or reason to my schedual. Working till 4AM isn't an abnormal thing for me, yet the guilt of sleeping past noon always seeps in somehow.
  
• I'm doing lots of doing. A quilt is in the works; a gallery application has a deadline; a special surprise is being made; many job applications, and cover letters are being sent; lost of schmoozing at job fairs by yours truly.
  
• Excluding today, the weather has been lovely. I want to play outside; I don't want to be in front of a screen.

Thats all, and I'm sorry. I'll try to be a better blogger.

Wacha Makin'?

I've started a quilt. Its not your ordinary granny/Amish quilt. This ones hip, cute and will be so cozy. Its from the book Simple Contemporary Quilts. The instructions are easy to follow, the pictures are great!

Measuring and converting the size of the quilt from crib sized to king sized. Ultra jumbo super sized.

Perfect Weather for Biking

The recent thaw has made bike riding that much more enjoyable. Not freezing my paws off is an added bonus!

While creatures in the wild crawl into their homes for a long winters nap, crafters speed up production with a list almost a long as St. Nicks. Oh my!

Here's some pretty Pyrex I spied from my moms collection over the Thanksgiving Holiday.

Prototype

I have never sold anything I've made before, and I think Etsy is a good place to start. It will be a good exercise in making and letting go.

Lavender

There is a grassy patch across the street from our apartment. We call it the dog park, but its just an area where guys fresh out of college play touch football, and where dog owners bring their pets so they don't forget the smell of nature. There is lavender that grows atop a retention wall. I have been collecting, and drying it in hopes of using it in a project. For now its decorating our book shelf, and hanging on a wire.
